Arrival by airplane



Magdeburg is located about 150 km from the airports of Berlin, Hannover, and Leipzig/Halle. Please note that Berlin has two airports, Tegel and Schönefeld. All airports are served by public transportation; the fare of a one-way train ticket from one of these airports to Magdeburg is about 30 Euro. The major international hub in Frankfurt/Main is about 450 km from Magdeburg.

From the central railway station of Magdeburg the conference center can be reached within 15 minutes either by cab (about 10 Euro, phone: +49 391 737373 or +49 391 544444) or by street car No. 6, direction Herrenkrug, closest stop to railway station: "Ernst- Reuter- Allee" (2.00 Euro).

Berlin Tegel

From the airport Berlin-Tegel there are frequent bus services to the central railway station of Berlin. Take either bus "X9" to the stations "Zoologischer Garten" or the bus TXL to "Berlin Hauptbahnhof". Either trip takes about 20 minutes. Arrival by car



Magdeburg is well connected to the German motorway network. Coming from Berlin or Hannover via freeway A2 use the exit 'Magdeburg-Zentrum' and stay for about 5 km on the city highway (Magdeburger Ring) until the exit 'Walther-Rathenau-Straße / Albert-Vater-Straße'. Follow indication for Herrenkrug. Coming from Halle/Leipzig via A14 use exit 'Magdeburg-Zentrum' in order to enter the city highway and again use the exit 'Walther-Rathenau-Straße / Albert-Vater-Straße'.
